Summary:
A Blue Point Brewer's goal is to make creative and high-quality beer, consistently and efficiently.
As a Production Brewer will be accountable for all aspects of wort production, cellar activities, clarifying beer, and more.
Job Description:
Responsible for following SOPs while maintaining high quality standards in all areas of beer production Ability to multitask and perform all aspects of the department (brewhouse, cellar, filtration, blending) Troubleshoot issues during operation Follow all safety and policy processes throughout the brewery Maintain a clean, sanitary, and presentable work environment Display a positive attitude and works well with others in a team environment Organization and record keeping JOB
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Must be 21-years of age General knowledge of practices, methods, tools, and equipment used in production and pub-style brewing Professional brewing certificate preferred 2 years of brewing experience as assistant brewer or brewer preferred Involves frequent walking, lifting, and carrying objects weighing 55lbs routinely Frequent use of latches, hand tools, clamps, hoses, etc.
, requiring manipulative skills and hand-eye coordination General knowledge of occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions associated with work Ability to follow oral and written instructions including interpret technical bulletins and schematics on equipment related to work Shift flexibility to work mornings, afternoons or weekends as needed
